The nuclear plant operators ought to be beefing up the safety systems as they plan towards decommissioning of the plant. This is to ensure the safe operation and eventual decommissioning of the plants towards a safer method of storing the wastes. ie steel dry-cast containers to be buried in large underground storage facilities.
It seems, plant operators wanted to restart the plant as is. Rather than with planned improvements they can demonstrate to be a responsible thing to do. Using politics and lobbying to influence the decision are tactics that corporations do. We cannot let those impose on the masses.
